wall insulation

Insulation

An energy efficient building or energy yield begins with a limited energy use, where the level of living and working comfort is retained, or even improved. By isolating the building within it’s structure, the building heating or cooling demands can be reduced, without having to modify the installation. Alongside the roof, floor and glass insulation, outside wall insulation is one important element that also relatively easy to achieve.

Reducing the demand for heating

Reducing energy consumption in the Netherlands is largely determined by reducing the demand for heating. An essential prerequisite is a good insulation. Outer wall insulation is in terms of size and return yield the biggest factor. It is possible to apply insulation even after construction.

The cost of insulating the outer walls is recovered relatively quickly through lower heating costs (heat demand reduction). At the same time, the comfort level is increased by a more even heat distribution and fewer draftiness.

Application

Using thermographs (infrared measurements) ’cold leaks’ in a building can be visualized and appropriate solutions for outer wall insulation can be applied. This applies to both new and existing constructions.
