helofytenfilter, water treatment on naturally base

Natural water purification

A Helofytenfilter system pumps water onto a reed bed, then through several layers of sand (the filter substrate) as it sinks through the reed roots. Within these sand layers and the reed roots various biological, physical and chemical processes take place, whereby the waste water is purified. This water is suitable for so-called household water uses.

Yield efficient

Helofytenfilter is currently the waste water treatment system with the highest returns. It is a natural, biological treatment system, it is robust and not suseptible to failure. A patch of reeds 16 m2 can deal with the sewage discharge of a household of about 5 people, and caused no smell because the water sinks directly into the filter. A Helofytenfilter has longevity and fits perfectly in gardens and landscapes.
